RELOCATION DELIVERY

The relocation of your personal effects includes the succession of 3 processes: the relocation preparation, the relocation shipment, and the relocation delivery. Here are the successive steps of the relocation delivery.

11. Customs clearance

Once all the documentation for the removal customs procedures have been given to us, we are usually capable to customs clear your removal shipment on your behalf in the destination country. In some countries, you will need to be present during the customs clearance of personal affects and we will let you know and coordinate with you for that meeting to be smooth and seamless.

Each country has its own rules regarding the removal of personal effects and the conditions of application of duties and taxes on personal effects. This is why it is most important that your dedicated relocation manager provides you with a complete set of information regarding the customs procedures for the removal of your personal effects in your destination country, after you have accepted your quotation.

12. Delivery

Once the customs clearance has been cleared, we deliver your removal to your new home in the new country. Your dedicated relocation manager will coordinate with you in order to make sure that you or one of your representative is present at your new home for receiving your personal effects.

13. Unpacking

We offer various levels of unpacking. From the basic unloading of the container or truck, to the unpacking and placing in your new home of every piece of furniture item, shelving of books on your shelves, hanging of your garments in cabinets, putting your kitchen items, cutlery and porcelain in cabinets...etc. This is offered to you by your dedicated relocation manager during the in-home consultation visit, chosen by yourself at that occasion, and clearly mentioned in your quotation.

14. Storage

In case you are taking some holidays during the removal of your home, or in case you are arriving in your new home much later than your removal, you may want us to store your personal effects in the new country of destination. We can do so in our secure warehouse. Upon arrival in your destination country and after customs clearance, your belongings will then be carefully transported to our warehouse for the duration of your choice (from a few weeks to a few months). In case you need to store your personal effect for a time after shipment, it is most important that you specify this need during the visit at your home of your dedicated relocation manager, so it is present in your quotation, for your consideration.
